Calaveras Sheriff’s Deputies Arrest Four Stemming From Carjacking

Calaveras County Sheriff´s deputies have four people in custody on various charges stemming from a
carjacking incident in Amador County Friday. Deputies arrested 33 year old Gilbert Beecher in West Point after they received a tip that a stolen Toyota
Forerunner that was seen in the area driven by Beecher.
Following that arrest, deputies served a search warrant on the West Point home Beecher was
found. Deputies seized a shotgun that Beecher used in the carjacking, along with evidence and paraphernalia of a methamphetamine lab.
Arrested at the
scene included 27 year old Robin Bethel of Auberry for carjacking, 32 year old Timothy Alec of West Point for possession of a firearm by a felon and 21 year
old Mandy Alec for violation of probation.
