Budget Approved over Weekend

The state budget is finally on Governor Davis´ desk. The governor has indicated he´ll sign the 101 billion
dollar spending plan. The state Senate approved the budget early yesterday morning, ending a deadlock that had left California without a spending plan for 21
days and blocked some state employees from receiving paychecks.
