Jamestown Fire Station Dedication

Sponsored by:

Jamestown, CA — The Jamestown Fire Station will now be open year round.

There was a dedication ceremony held this morning for the CAL Fire/Jamestown Fire Protection District station on 4th avenue in Jamestown. For several years Tuolumne County has been interested in making the Jamestown Fire Station a year round operation, as it is one of the county’s busiest stations. As reported previously, it became a reality thanks to an $862,760 SAFER grant from FEMA. It will allow for daily minimum staffing of two CAL Fire firefighters and one county resident firefighter. The grant covers the next two years, and there are no needed matching funds from the county.

Several dignitaries were on hand for the dedication ceremony.
