Fire In Mariposa Up To 300 Acres

Mariposa, CA — A fire along Hunters Valley Road in Mariposa County is now around 300 acres.

CAL Fire reports that one structure is destroyed and around 100 more are now threatened in the Hunters Valley community. There is no containment at this time, and air and ground resources are trying to stop the forward rate of spread on the fire. The blaze is in an area near Lake McClure.

Firefighters are assisting from the Tuolumne-Calaveras Unit of CAL Fire. The blaze started at around 3:30pm, and it is now being referred to as the “Hunters Fire.” Crews will remain on scene through the evening.
