T.U.D. To Discuss Water Supply And Projects
Sonora, CA — The T.U.D. Board of Directors will hear an update on water supply at this week’s meeting. The Board is also scheduled to set a special closed meeting for April 6th to review the applicants applying for the soon to be open General Manager position.
In addition, the Board will vote whether to approve a notice of exemption, related to CEQA, so that work can move forward on installing an eight inch water main extension to 11 homes along Algerine Road, Camp Seco and Jacksonville Road. Those homes have experienced well failures. The district reports that projects are exempt from CEQA if the pipeline is under 16-inches in diameter. The Board is also scheduled to authorize an agreement with a company to conduct surveys of the tri-colored blackbird around Phoenix Lake. It is part of the Phoenix Lake Preservation and Restoration Plan.
Wednesday’s meeting starts at 5:30pm in the Board meeting room.
