Update: Vegetation Fire In Calaveras County Contained

Update at 6:30 p.m.: Cal Fire reports firefighters were able to put the flames out in a matter of minutes, once on the scene off Fairway Drive near Nugget Court. The fire has been contained at a quarter acre. Columbia air resources have returned to base.
Original post at 6:15 p.m.: Arnold, CA — Firefighters and Columbia air resources are heading to the Arnold area after the report of a grass fire.
Cal Fire reports flame broke out in some vegetation off Fairway Drive near Nugget Court. There is no word on the size of the blaze, the flame’s rate of spread or whether any structures are threatened. We will bring you more details as soon as they come into the news center.
