Update: Structure Fire In Jamestown

Update at 2 p.m.: Firefighters have extinguished a structure fire in the Rawhide Mobile Home Park in the 8400 block of Old Melones Road near Gold Run Trail, southeast of New Melones Lake. The flames broke out just before 1 p.m.; it is unclear how many trailers were involved in the blaze. There are reports of an explosion that blew the roof off of one mobile home, which is a total loss. The public is asked to avoid the area as crews continue to mop up. What ignited the fire is under investigation.

Update at 1:20 p.m.: Fire resources are battling a structure fire in the Jamestown area of Tuolumne County. CAL Fire reports that two mobile homes are on fire, but there is no word as to whether the flames have spread to any nearby vegetation or if there were any occupants in those trailers. The flames broke out just before 1 p.m. in the Rawhide Mobile Home Park in the 8400 block of Old Melones Road near Gold Run Trail, southeast of New Melones Lake. Two additional water tenders have been called to the scene. Several roadways in the area have been shut down to assist the firefighting efforts. The public is asked to avoid the area.
