Updated at 11:13 am: An extensive cleanup effort is still ongoing on O’Byrnes Ferry Road, prompting a lingering full closure of the road near the bridge that separates Tuolumne and Calaveras counties. Two semi trucks were involved in a crash at around 8 am and a large amount of fluid was dumped onto the roadway. Environmental health teams are involved in the assessment and cleanup. There is not an estimated opening time.

Original story posted at 8:21 am: Jamestown, CA — The CHP reports that two semi-trucks are involved in a crash on O’Byrnes Ferry Road, on the Tuolumne County side, near the bridge.

Fluid related to the crash has spilled onto the road, requiring a temporary full closure of O’Byrne’s Ferry Road. Vehicles are being turned around in both directions, so travelers should avoid the area. Officials with the Tuolumne County Environmental Health Department are responding to assess the situation.

No injuries have been reported as a result of the crash.
