Update On Mother Lode Fires
CAL Fire says they are getting a better footing on both the blaze near Graham Ranch Road in Groveland and the Penn Fire in Murphys near Pennsylvania Gulch Road and Skunk Ranch Road.
CAL Fire Spokesperson Lisa Williams says “The Penn Fire acreage has been reduced from 180 to 130 acres and it is 40% contained.” She says the100 acre Graham Fire is 20% contained. Williams says “They are making good progress on the Graham Fire and continued progress on the Penn Fire.”
Over 520 firefighters from CAL Fire and surrounding agencies are battling the blazes. CAL Fire says those crews will be working round the clock for the next couple days to get a better handle on the fires.
