Good News For Yosemite Travelers

Sponsored by:

Groveland, CA– Starting Friday, the Yosemite Chamber of Commerce’s Visitor Center in Groveland will be offering a new service.

For the first time, a Yosemite National Park Ranger will be available to provide on-site services, seven days a week from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.

Rangers who staff the Visitor Center will be responsible for selling Yosemite National Park entrance passes to travelers en route to the park. They will also be on hand to provide information about Yosemite, park conditions and lodging.

“After several months of negotiations with Yosemite National Park, we’re pleased to have a full-time Park Ranger assigned to Groveland,” said Yosemite Chamber of Commerce President James Nagel. “As one of the four gateway communities surrounding Yosemite, having a dedicated Park Ranger will prove beneficial to both Yosemite-bound visitors and Groveland.”

The Yosemite Chamber of Commerce’s Visitor Center is located at 18653 Highway 120. Historical Groveland is within walking distance of the Visitors Center and offers several hotels, restaurants and many historical buildings from California’s Gold Rush era.
