Teen Falls From Cliff Near Mariposa

Mariposa, CA – A teenager from Southern California died after falling from a cliff in Mariposa County.
19-year-old Ryan Broderick of El Segundo was with five friends near Hwy 140 north of the community of Mariposa. The group had climbed up a cliff known as Briceburg Grade, and Broderick slipped on the surface and fell a great distance. He was pronounced dead on scene by emergency officials.
Authorities say the accident occurred around 9am on Friday.
