Calaveras Fairgrounds Hoppin’

Angels, Camp, CA — Visitors have been cramming into the Calaveras County Fairgrounds this weekend.
This year’s Fair and Jumping Frog Jubilee is dedicated to the “Wit and Wisdom of Mark Twain,” who wrote the famous story about the celebrated Jumping Frog of Calaveras County.
Thursday and Friday were “Heritage Days” in which children could enter for free. Saturday was “Cattlemen’s Day” and the finale on Sunday focuses on the International Frog Jump.
Different kinds of live entertainment have been abundant at the fairgrounds.
