Teddy Bear Clinic Starts Today
San Andreas, CA– The Teddy Bear Clinic started today and will continue tomorrow and Thursday in San Andreas. The 4th annual event hosted by Mark Twain St. Joseph’s Hospital, is an opportunity for nearly 450 kindergartners, teachers and parents to tour the hospital and improve their comfort level within a hospital setting.
With the help of the California Highway Patrol Valley Division Air Operations, Angels Fire Department, CHP San Andreas, Calaveras Sheriff’s Office, Calstar Air Ambulance, CAL Fire, PHI Air Medical and American Legion Ambulance, the students will also have the opportunity again this year to tour helicopters, ambulances and fire engines. Students will end the day by having lunch with hospital physicians and staff.
Event coordinator Johanna Jiron said, “We have every Kindergarten class in Calaveras County to take part in this wonderful program. This is an incredible event for our community.”
