Fraser Sentenced To Five Years Probation
Sonora, CA — Former Tuolumne County Public Works Department employee Thomas Jefferson Fraser IV was sentenced to five years probation on a single charge of grand theft of county property Wednesday afternoon in Tuolumne County Superior Court.
District Attorney Donald Segerstrom commented that 14 different counts were reduced to the single charge of grand theft. Fraser pleaded guilty to that one count December 31, 2008. The time span on the second ammendment was from April 1, 2005 to April 1, 2008.
Segerstrom added that Fraser received one day’s credit for the one he served in the County Jail. The remaining 89 days of the sentence will be satisfied by 45 days in the work release program and 500 hours of community service to be completed within one year’s time as designated by the county probation officer.
Fraser is also required to pay a fine of $1,070 and $10,000 restitution to the Public Works Department. He must abstain for any excessive use of alcohol and can only use drugs for which he has a valid prescription.
