Arnold Pipe Bomb Explosion Damages School Bus Stop
Arnold, CA — The Calaveras County Sheriff’s Department is investigating a pipe bomb explosion that caused damage to a school bus stop in Arnold.
The bomb exploded early Monday morning shortly after 12am in the area of Hwy 4 and Lilac Drive. Debris from the explosion was found in the street along with parts of the pipe bomb.
The Calaveras Bomb Squad describes the explosive device as being eight inches long and three inches in diameter. Neighbors in the area heard the explosion but did not see any suspects.
Evidence found at the scene has been forwarded to the Department of Justice to be analyzed.
