TuCare’s Natural Resources Summit Set For Friday
Sonora, CA — TuCare’s 9th annual Natural Resources Summit will focus on timber issues and California’s water infrastructure.
Melinda Fleming, the Executive Director of TuCare was Thursday’s KVML “Newsmaker of the Day”.
Friday’s event is also hosted by Senator Dave Cogdill, Assemblyman Tom Berryhill and Congressman George Radanovich. This year’s theme is entitled, “Healthy forests equal abundant and clear water.”
The keynote speaker will be Myron Ebell of the Competitive Enterprise Institute. He is a well known skeptic of global warming and his speech will focus on “debunking climate change.” Other speakers will include Cogdill, Berryhill, Steve Brink of the California Forestry Association and Donn Zea of the Northern California Water Association.
The summit begins at 9am Friday at the Mother Lode Fairgrounds. It is free and open to the public. Registration begins at 8:30am.
