Search Continues For Carl Stephen Knight
Sonora, CA — According to Lt. Dan Bressler of the Tuolumne County Sheriff´s Office the search continues for 23 year old Carl Stephen Knight of Sonora missing since Sunday morning.
Tuesday the Sheriff´s Office boat patrol spent the day scouring the area with sonar near the Jacksonville Bridge in the Lake Don Pedro area. Investigators were led to that scene from information gathered earlier this week. Tuesday´s search proved to be fruitless. That operation is continuing today.
Investigators and crime scene technicians are continuing their processing of a number of potential sites including a Jamestown residence where the alleged Sunday morning altercation between Knight and the Slawinsky brothers, 28 year old Robert Earl and 26 year old Paul Curtis, took place.
The Slawinskys remain in custody with a bail of $1 million each.
Bressler adds that the Sheriff´s Office remains in constant contact with the District Attorney´s office. Given the evidence gathered the current charges of kidnapping and criminal conspiracy could change at any moment.
The public is still encouraged to contact the Sheriff´s Office at (209) 533-5815 with any information regarding this case. Your call can remain anonymous.
