Trial Setting Conference Set For Stanton

Sonora, CA — A trial setting conference is scheduled for 8:30 this morning for David Roy Stanton.
Wednesday Stanton´s first trial ended in a hung jury with 10 jurors voting for second degree murder in the shooting death of Jon Steven Flaherty on August 25. Two jurors voted for voluntary manslaughter.
Prosecuting Attorney James Newkirk has told KVML News that his office has offered a plea deal to Stanton who has already been found guilty of a felon in possession of a firearm.
