Telegraph Fire Continues To Grow

Mariposa, CA — According to Yosemite Spokesperson Suzanne Grin the Telegraph Fire has now reached 27,000 acres in size and continues to be only 10 percent contained.
According to Sue Exline of the Sierra National Forest the fire is eight miles from El Portal, 12 miles from Arch Rock and 15-18 miles from Yosemite Valley.
1,000 residents have been served a pre-evacuation advisement. 12 residences have been destroyed along with 27 outbuildings.
This evening CAL Fire, the Mariposa County Fire Department, the Mariposa County Sheriff´s Office and the C.H.P. will be hosting a seven o´clock meeting at the Mariposa County High School Auditorium for all concerned residents.
