Economic Development J.P.A. Receives Unanimous Vote

Sonora, CA — City Administrator Greg Applegate has confirmed that the City Council voted unanimously Monday evening to approve the Economic Development Joint Power Authority agreement.
Previously the Tuolumne County Board of Supervisors had voted 5-0 to approve the document.
Next up; two members from the City Council, two members from the county´s Board of Supervisors and three “at large” members from the community will be selected to form the governing board.
The next item of business will be the hiring of an executive director for the non-partisan agency.
