Tuolumne Resident Wins New Ford Vehicle

Tuolumne, Ca — Alice Salazar of Tuolumne was the big winner Thursday night of a 2008 Ford Fusion as part of ?The Great Summer of 2008? Car Giveaway.

Participants gained eligibility by spinning the Jackpot Machine at numerous local businesses over the course of the summer.

?Everything went great, I just didn´t imagine that this was going to happen to me,? says Salazar.

Surprisingly this was the third vehicle that Salazar has won over the course of her life. Just last year she says she won car at a nearby casino, and also won a vehicle as part of a promotion in 1989.

The event was put on by Star 92.7, 93.5 KKBN, Black Oak Casino and Hammond Ford.

?It went great tonight, and everyone had a lot of fun,? says Black Oak Casino Marketing Manager Al O´Brien. ?It is something that we´re anxious to do again next year.?

?It was as awesome as always,? says Steve Gaulden of Hammond Ford. ?We love putting this on, because it´s a great thing for the community.?

All of the finalists received a number that was placed on a ping pong ball, and the last ball selected was the winner. The event was held at the Willow Creek Lounge, and the emcees were Justin and Maryann from Star 92.7 and Big Joe and Bridgette from 93.5 KKBN.
