Arson Fire Destroys Former Jamestown Drug House

Jamestown, CA — An arson caused fire destroyed two Jamestown homes early this morning.

According to CAL Fire´s Chris Jensen the initial fire ignited an 1,800 square foot home located at 17685 Rolling Hills Blvd. That fire then spread to a second residence located at 17985 Rolling Hills Blvd. The fire did spread to the wildland.

The initial home was unoccupied. It suffered $200,000 in damages and is considered a total loss. The second home, also a total loss, was valued at $300,000 with a loss of contents valued at $75,000.

The fire was first reported at 12:44am with the event closed at 3am.

Responding were eight CAL Fire engines, along with five local engines from City of Sonora, Tuolumne County and Columbia Fire District. The CHP and the Tuolumne County Sheriff´s Office were also on scene.

No arrest has been made.
