TUD To Begin Ditch Maintenance

Sonora, Ca — TUD will soon be conducting its annual ditch maintenance, so customers are being asked to conserve water.
The PG&E Main Canal that provides the primary water supply for TUD will be shut down between Monday, October 13 and Monday, October 20.
According to TUD Spokesperson Lisa Westbrook, without water coming in from the ditches, the only water available is what remains in the storage tank and wells.
Conservation during this period should help provide adequate supply for drinking, sanitary usage and fire protection. Customers are asked to limit outside watering, turn off automatic lawn and drip sprinkler timers and repair water leaks.
