Minerals Stolen In West Point Burglary
West Point, CA — $50,000 worth of minerals were stolen from a mineral collector´s West Point home when it was robbed sometime earlier this month.
The Calaveras County Sheriff´s Department says the vacation home on Winton Road was burglarized sometime between March 5 and 19. The break-in was reported on Monday.
Also stolen was a Willy´s Jeep, an ATV, two generators, four chain saws, some tools and a hand gun. The theft totaled $78,000.
Physical evidence was collected at the scene but no suspects have been identified at this time.
