Around 30 On Hand At Mele’s Town Hall Meeting
Tuolumne City, CA — An estimated 30 were on hand for Tuolumne County Sheriff Jim Mele´s third town hall meeting Tuesday night.
Joining Mele at Tuolumne Memorial Hall were Capt. Mike Bailey, Lt. George Ruckman and Jail Commander J.P. Jones. According to Mele, one of the main concerns of residents was the lack of law enforcement coverage available in the county.
Mele says they also spent a good amount of time discussing how not to be a victim of a crime. Areas of discussion included lighting, landscaping and alarms. Mele says,We´re going away with a better understanding of what the public´s needs are and that is one of the goals of these town hall meetings.”
