Pinecrest, CA — This is the final weekend to ski the slopes at Dodge Ridge.

“With above average temperatures in February and March, 50% below normal snow pack and declining participation in skiing and riding, we have decided to close winter operations” said Dan Kelsay, Sales Director for the resort. Dodge Ridge will end its winter operations after tomorrow.

Bear Valley Mountain Resort, on the other hand, has extended its ski season one more weekend. The resort was set to close April 15. It will shut down between April 16 and 20, but will reopen for the weekend of April 21 and 22. Resort spokesperson Marc Gendron says recent storms dumped up to 14 inches of new snow creating terrific skiing and snowboarding conditions.
