Drew Kermeen Set To Step Down As Mother Lode Round Up Queen

Sponsored by:

Sonora, CA — Come Sunday evening the 2007 Mother Lode Round Up queen will be crowned at the Elks Lodge.

Outgoing Queen Drew Kermeen says every queen should remember here reign is all about the people not about the competition.

Kermeen adds that the greatest enjoyment over the past year has been the opportunity to meet so many people within and outside of the county and to represent the Mother Lode Round Up and the Sheriff´s Posse.

Tomorrow Kermeen will appear on her mount at the horsemanship competition performing the queen salute. Sunday evening at the Elks Lodge Queen coronation she will deliver her farewell speech, introduce the four contestants and crown the 2007 queen.

Personally, Kermeen will continue working construction and return for her second year at Columbia College. She then plans on transfering to Cal Poly – San Luis Obispo majoring in civil engineering.

Her only advice to this year´s group of contestants; be yourself and have as much fun as possible. Don´t try and be somebody you are not.
