Subdivision’s Final Approval Stalls In Boardroom

Burson, CA — The final map of Olive Orchard Estates in Burson was not approved by the Calaveras County Board of Supervisors Tuesday.
Instead the board continued the item one week to allow staff to meet with one very concerned citizen.
The Olive Orchard Estates subdivision is being developed by Ryan Voorhees, the developer of Gold Creek Estates in Valley Springs.
A nearby resident says future buyers should be aware that some of the subdivision´s roads cut through properties. For example a five-acre parcel could be split by a thoroughfare.
County staff seemed to think that wasn´t the case but said they would meet with the man to clear up the issue.
