Sonora PD Will Be Looking For Friday Night Drunk Drivers

Sonora, Ca — The Sonora Police Department, with assistance from the California Highway Patrol, will conduct a sobriety checkpoint tonight in an unidentified location within the city limits.
The Sonora PD says the goal is to reduce the number of alcohol related accidents in the city. The checkpoint will be operational from 8pm to 2am. Funding was made possible by a grant awarded to the police department by the California Office of Traffic Safety.
