Sonora Area Foundation Establishes Disaster Fund

Sonora, CA — Tuolumne County residents can contribute locally for San Diego and Los Angeles area disaster relief and recovery efforts.

According to Executive Director Mick Grimes the Sonora Area Foundation has opened a Disaster Relief Fund and will grant contributions to the San Diego Foundation and the California Community Foundation in Los Angeles. Both foundations have established “After the Fire” funds so all contributions will be distributed quickly to families and communities affected by the fires.

Checks can be sent to the Sonora Area Foundation at P.O. Box 577, Sonora 95370. And don´t forget to write Disaster Relief Fund on the memo line. The foundation´s phone number is 533-2596.

All contributions are tax deductible under IRS guidelines.
