Tuolumne County Changing Approach on Behavioral Health Services

Sonora, Ca — Changes are coming when it comes to Behavioral Health Services in Tuolumne County.
Since 1996, the county has contracted those services to Kings View. On Tuesday the Board voted to transition from a contracted model to a county operated model.
County staff recommended the change because they feel that it will save money by having all of the services under one roof, and that the operation will be more efficient.
The Board of Supervisors will further discuss the topic at a meeting next month.
