Woman Rear-ends Man Who Pulled Over To Let Her Pass

Sonora, CA — A 55-year-old Coulterville woman is recovering from minor injuries, after rear-ending a Groveland man on Highway 49.
The California Highway Patrol says Kathryn Mallory was driving 40 mph on Highway 49, north of Haigh Rd.
59-year-old Ronald Baugher was traveling in front of Mallory at 30 mph. Reports indicate Baugher pulled off the road onto the right shoulder to allow Mallory to pass him.
Mallory then also pulled off the road to the right, but was unable to stop before hitting Baugher´s truck. Mallory´s car went down the dirt embankment and she was taken to Tuolumne General Hospital for treatment.
