Lawmakers Call For Ouster Of UC President Over Pay
Sacramento, CA — Three state senators are calling for the ouster of University of California President Robert Dynes over the controversy involving pay and perks for top officials.
Senators Gloria Romero and Abel Maldonado say they´ve lost faith in Dynes´ leadership and urged his resignation.
Recent audits have found the university violated its own policies by giving some of its highest-ranking employees housing, car allowances and signing bonuses without notifying regents.
Dynes has apologized for the university´s shortcomings and promised reforms, including stronger controls over pay practices and training executives about university policies.
