Curtain Falls On 49th Annual Mother Lode Roundup
Sonora, CA — Unlike a year ago when rains dampened the Sonora Fairgrounds, absolutely perfect weather graced the 49th annual Mother Lode Roundup Rodeo for Mothers´ Day.
The sun shone brightly for both the Saturday and Sunday performances which brought some of the world´s top competitors for all the traditional events.
And, of course, the Crown Prince himself of rodeo clowns, Bert Davis, performed to the crowd´s great delight … especially for the youngsters.
For the future stars of the rodeo circuit there was the annual mutton busting event.
Despite the extremely warm weather, the Fairground stands were packed with fans on hand to see some of the very best in rodeo competition in the Mother Lode.
