Board Votes To Implement Health Care System Plan

Sponsored by:

Sonora, CA — During a long session at the Tuolumne County Board of Supervisors meeting, Assistant County Administrator Craig Pedro found himself on the offensive regarding Tuolumne General Hospital.

In a session that included several items from implementing a Non-Acute Health Care System, to a plan to reduce the operating costs by $1,500,000; Pedro made it clear that the board will continue to support certain key services at the Tuolumne General Hospital campus.

With three yes votes and one abstention from Supervisor Paolo Maffei, the board voted to implement a plan for a Non-Acute Health Care System option for TGH.

The board will take a look at the 2006/2007 Preliminary Budget next Tuesday.
