Tuolumne General Hospital Nears Selection Of New CMO/COO

Sonora, CA — In a late Tuesday afternoon meeting, incoming Tuolumne County Administration Officer Craig Pedro reached a handshake agreement with Dr. Jack McCue to serve as the Chief Medical Officer/Chief Operating Officer of Tuolumne General Hospital.

McCue says that no contract has been signed and other individuals, while highly unlikely, may still apply for the position.

McCue would serve in a dual capacity with the scheduled October departure of Administrator Barry Woerman and the imminent departure of Director of Outpatient Clinical Services Randy Pirtle.

McCue will work with Pedro in assuring the community that T.G.H. will retain a number of specialty and clinical services. The county´s board of supervisors has directed Pedro to terminate the hospital´s acute care facilities over the next couple of years.
