Sonora Police Expect “Quiet” Magic of the Night
Sonora, CA — The Sonora Police Department is expecting an exceptionally quiet night this evening as the city hosts Magic Of The Night.
Traditionally law enforcement agencies are out in full force whenever there is any type of public event. But according to Sonora Police Lt. Mark Stinson, that will not be the case this evening simply because the annual event in historical Sonora is strictly a family oriented event. In fact, Stinson says only one individual will be added for patrol duties and that will be a volunteer.
Stinson´s only precaution is for those attending Magic of the Night to be aware of congested traffic in the downtown area. A year ago there was not a single citation issued for excessive use of alcohol.
The event gets underway at 6pm and will close at nine o´clock.
