Sonora High School Football Player Takes His Own Life

Sonora, CA — A story of tragedy in the Mother Lode; 16 year old Michael Olenchalk died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound Sunday in the Cedar Ridge area.
Olenchalk was a member of the Wildcats´ football team. Last year the 5-9 200 pound sophomore was a fullback and linebacker on the junior varsity team.
The Tuolumne County Sheriff´s Department is continuing to investigation.
