Sponsored by:

Angels Camp, CA — State grant funding will help boost career technical education opportunities in the Bret Harte Union High School District.

A $250,000 grant has been received to specifically enhance Automotive Technology, Ag Science, and Ag Mechanics.

The Career Technical Education Incentive Grant (CTEIG) is a state education, economic, and workforce development initiative. It aims to better equip high school students with the skills and knowledge needed to seamlessly transition into the workforce or postsecondary employment.

“We are incredibly excited and grateful for this CTEIG allocation,” says Scott Nanik, district superintendent. “This funding will be instrumental in providing our students with unparalleled opportunities to develop the hands-on skills needed for successful careers and continued education.”

The money will be used to purchase new equipment, develop curriculum, and provide instructors with professional development. Bret Harte is also pursuing additional grants to support other Career Technical Education opportunities offered at the school.
