Sonora, CA — While many people are planning their Halloween costumes, the city reminds everyone that the Christmas parade is just a month and a half away, and it’s time to submit entries.
Applications for the 42nd Annual Historic Downtown Sonora Christmas Parade are currently being taken, with the deadline for submissions by 5 p.m. on Friday, November 14th. There will be a $25 per parade entry fee, which limits the number of vehicles (car or truck/trailer) and walkers to ten each. Once submitted, no changes can be made to entries.
The parade rules also state that the person in charge of each group may complete and sign the application and waiver forms and pay the entry fee. The application form can be found online here or picked up and mailed with the fee to the Sonora Chamber of Commerce at 47 North Washington Street, Sonora, CA 95370.
City officials noted, “The Christmas Parade Committee will review each application. We reserve the right to deny any application. If your application is denied, your entry fee and reason for denial will be mailed back to the contact person on the application.”
