Murder Suspects Plead Innocent
On Monday, Donald Pinon and Daniel Rocha both pleaded innocent to murder charges in Calaveras County Superior Court in San Andreas.
Pinon, 20, and Rocha, 19, entered their pleas during their initial arraignments and will be returning to court April 4th for further arraignment. The murder charges stem from the fatal shooting earlier this month of Mokelumne Hill resident David Jessop, 19. Sheriff investigators have said that Jessop was not the intended victim.
Pinon and Rocha could both be sentenced to 25 years to life in prison, separately, if convicted of murder with additional time added for a variety of other violations.
