County Officials Put Off Decision On Cabezut Project
Sonora, CA — The Tuolumne County Planning Commission has put off making a decision on a 61 home subdivision on Cabezut Road.
Sonora Developer California Gold went before the panel last night seeking approval for the proposed Twin Creeks subdivision to be built on 30 undeveloped acres east of Covey Circle. The builder says six of those homes are to be designated as affordable housing.
The commission declined to make a decision in order to give the developer time to explore various options concerning certain conditions placed on the plan. One of those conditions specifically pertained to the planting of oak trees on the parcel.
Officials say about a dozen people showed up for the hearing and two spoke in favor of the plan. No opponents spoke to the panel.
The commission will take up the issue at another meeting in two weeks.
