Man Dies From Injuries Sustained In Highway Crash

Snelling, CA — A man is dead following a motorcycle accident on Saturday in Snelling.

CHP officers say the 56-year-old motorcyclist was riding a Suzuki Sport Bike on Highway 49 when he failed to make a left turn and the bike lost traction and slid out from under him.

Witnesses say the man was going 35 miles per hour and unable to slow down in time to complete the turn. The rider landed face down on a dirt road 30 feet below the highway and his motorcycle ended up 60 feet below.

The man was air lifted from the scene to Doctor´s Memorial Hospital where he later succumbed to his injuries.
