P.G. & E. Requests 2.5% Rate Increase

San Francisco, CA — P.G. & E. customers could see another increase in electricity rates if the utility gets its way.
The company filed a request with the state´s Public Utilities Commission Friday for an additional 2.5% rate increase, on top of a 10.8% increase requested in September.
P.G. & E. is also expected to request another rate increase that could impose as much as a 20% hike.
The commission is expected to make a ruling on the requests in December.
