Palomino Training Burn Scheduled For Sunday

San Andreas, CA — The California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection will be conducting a training burn along Palomino Road, three miles southwest of New Hogan Reservoir and Valley Springs.
The training burn is scheduled from 9:00am to 12:00pm Sunday. CDF says two acres of grass will be burned during the exercise. The objective of the fuel treatment project is to teach CDP personnel fire fighting techniques and to clean up a few previously unburned areas.
