High School Football Playoff Picture Takes Shape
Sonora, CA — The Sonora Wildcats now know who they will be playing in this week´s first-round playoff game.
Sonora will host Rio Linda at Dunlavy Field this Friday. The Wildcats bring an overall record of 5-5 and 5-1 in league play. Rio Linda comes in with an overall record of 6-4, 5-1 in league competition.
Rio Linda has won the last two contests between the teams, last year at Rio Linda, the wildcats fell in a game that was decided late in the fourth quarter, the year before, the Knights prevailed in overtime.
This Friday´s game will be broadcast live on Star 92.7 and streamed on MyMotherLode.com.
Meanwhile, after a 20-0 shutout of the Bret Harte Bullfrogs Friday night, the Calaveras Redskins will bring an unblemished 10 & 0 record into Friday night´s game against Patterson at San Andreas.
