Update: Stamp Fire Stopped In Jamestown

Update at 11:40 am: The forward spread of the Stamp Fire has been stopped at 5 acres, according to CAL Fire. Some of the initial responding resources are being released back to base.

Update at 11:35 am: CAL Fire reports that the Stamp Fire continues to hold at 5 acres.

Update at 11:23 am: Due to the Stamp Fire, Tuolumne County Sheriff’s Deputies are on the scene providing evacuation warnings to residents along Stamp Mill Loop East, Stamp Mill Loop West, and Dutch Mine Road. The sheriff’s office reports that if you live in that area, please leave. Do not wait to be told to evacuate.

Original story at 11:11 am: Jamestown, CA — There is a vegetation fire that numerous firefighters are responding to in the 16500 block of Stamp Mill Loop Road East in Jamestown.

The Stamp Fire is estimated to be around 5 acres and is moving at a moderate rate of spread. It is near the area of Jacksonville Road.  Some structures in the area are threatened. Be prepared for activity in the area.
