Wesson Will Stand Trial For Murders
A judge ruled today that a Fresno man must stand trial on charges that he killed nine of his children in the city´s worst mass slaying.
Defense attorneys had sought the dismissal of the charges, contending prosecutors had not proven Marcus Wesson committed the murders.
Wesson emerged from his home on March 12th with blood on his body and clothes.
Inside a back bedroom, police discovered a bloody pile of bodies — nine of Wesson´s children ranging in age from one through 25.
Wesson´s lawyer contends that the defendant´s daughter was the killer.
Her body was discovered to the side of the pile of other victims and a gun and knife used in the murders were found beneath her.
