Modesto police have two 19 year-old men in custody in connection with the beating of a 25 year-old man on the Modesto Junior College campus Thursday morning.
Police say Gerald Sullivan and Troy Mabon hid in bushes then attacked Paul Smith as he left a campus building, leaving him unconscious. The pair fled but were later arrested by authorities.
Smith was listed in serious condition at a Modesto hospital Friday.
