Angels Camp, CA — Residents in a specific portion of Angels Camp are urged to boil their drinking water until further notice.
A water line was inadvertently damaged by a contractor doing work near Utica Park on Thursday. Caltrans contractors and city crews responded to isolate the break, make needed repairs, and restore the water service. However, mandatory water quality testing must be completed as a precaution before it is deemed safe to consume.
The city is working with the State Water Resources Control Board and the Calaveras County Environmental Health Department.
A Boil Water Notice has been issued until further notice for customers within the affected area while mandatory water quality testing is completed.

Boiling water effectively kills bacteria and other organisms that may be present in the water.
The city reports that residents outside of this service area are not affected by this notice and may continue to use their water normally.
